Michał Szulc
Dossier
Born in 1983. He graduated from the Faculty
of Textile Art and Fashion Design at the Academy
of Fine Arts and Design in Łódź in 2008. In
the years of 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 he held
a scholarship of the Minister of Culture and
National Heritage. He presented his collections,
among others, at the Golden Thread Gala in
2007 and 2008. There, he was awarded an honorable
mention by the Media Jury, the award of the
Young Polish Designers Foundation (in 2007),
and "Elle" magazine's award (in 2008).
He was also awarded honorable mentions in 2005
Heyah competition, and 2006 and 2007 Jeans
Design competitions. In 2007 he participated
in the International Fashion Workshops organized
by Romualdo del Bianco Foundation in Florence.
His most recent collection "What will
be will be" was presented during Fashion
Philosophy - Fashion Week Poland in 2009. Photos
of Michał's designs have made covers of the
New York magazine "PRIM" and Polish
editions of "Elle", "Exklusiv", "Hiro",
and "Dilemmas Magazine". Michał Szulc
